Are You Blessed or Lacking?

Psalm 1

Blessed is the man

Who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked

or stand in the way of sinners

or sit in the seat of mockers.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord,

and on His law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water,

which yields it fruit in season

and whose leaf does not wither.

Whatever he does prospers.

Lacking is the man

who puts his trust in the words of the wicked

and follows the path of those who don’t trust God

and has made his home with those who make a joke out of living a Godly life.

But his delight is in himself and his desires.

and he thinks about his feelings and circumstances day and night.

He is like a tumble weed in the desert,

which is blown wherever the wind takes him.

His spirit has no joy, no life.

Whatever he does is not his fault and benefits no one but himself.
