Risen Lord believes that we should live out the love that Jesus showed us by serving the needs of people
outside the church, as well as those inside the church.
Christian living is all about being transformed by the Holy Spirit through
the power of God’s Word, remembering who we belong to in our Baptism, receiving forgiveness in the Lord’s Supper, daily prayer with
our Father, and stepping out in faith through our stewardship of time, talent and treasures in serving God and our neighbor
We do this by offering baptisms to all without cost, performing a Lutheran Quinceañera, weddings, Christian funerals, supporting the Odessa Ministerial Alliance, offering food to those in need, working with other area Lutherans through Thrivent for Lutherans in community service and Christ on Campus, and participating in the annual Blessing of the Hands for the staffs at the various Medical Center Hospital locations.
