Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Lutheran Church of the Risen Lord is to grow in Jesus Christ’s spirit through grace, forgiveness, prayer, praise, thanksgiving, witness and service. To fulfill this mission, we believe that we must study, teach and live God’s Word, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit, loving all people and ministering to them according to their needs. When you visit us, you will find that we are a compassionate congregation, showing love to all, both inside and outside of our church. We are a fellowship of forgiven and forgiving sinners who have found a new way to live as imperfect people in an imperfect world by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

We are in the process of seeking a pastor.                                                                                                               Angie Gullett, Secretary/Office Manager

                                                                                                                                                               What we believe:

Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from there He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

We teach and respond to the love of the Triune God. Salvation is for those who hear this Good News and believe it, for they have the eternal life that it offers.  God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him. Our congregation accepts and proclaims the Bible-based teachings of the Lutheran Confessions as the correct interpretation and understanding of the Bible. These teachings can be summarized in three short phrases: Grace alone, Scripture alone, Faith alone.
